How to get help

If you need help from our foodbank there are a few simple steps to follow.

You need a voucher to visit Muswell Hill Foodbank

The simplest way to get a voucher is to ring the free national helpline on 0808 0208 2138

The line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. You will speak to a trained Citizens Advice advisor who will offer you support, information and advice about your situation, and then send you an e-voucher via email or text. When you visit the foodbank show the voucher to the foodbank manager who will exchange it for three days of emergency food. All calls are confidential.

Please note: The national helpline can be very busy so it’s best to arrange your voucher a day or two in advance of your visit.

Other ways to get a voucher

We also work with other local agencies who can issue a foodbank voucher for you. These include Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, job centres, social services and some local charities. You can also ask your GP surgery or your children’s school.

If you are having difficulty accessing a voucher, call or email us and we can put you in touch with an agency which can issue a voucher.

Once you have your voucher
